1969 Fender Mustang Bass, competition orange. Made in USA, serial number 259167. This bass is all original. With an August '67 neck date, it's one of the earliest competition Mustang Basses we've seen, in fact both the control and pickup cavities were slightly enlarged at the factory as they were too tight (fairly common for late 60s / early 70s Fenders, though more often seen in the neck pocket). Has '69 pickup codes and '66 pots, one untidy solder joint that does look original though. It shows light wear overall and has some sticker shadows, but overall it's in excellent condition, including the frets. It's an incredibly fine bass in every aspect! Comes with its original and equally rare 'For Fender' Polverini hardshell case. Weighs 3.4kg only!
