1950s Gibson Les Paul Standard Conversion, sunburst. Made in USA. Please read carefully: 'conversion' is a big word and this one was assembled mating a 1950s Gibson neck onto a 1995 Gibson Les Paul body with an incredible flametop. The neck came from an L-48 or a flattop LG guitar or similar and as such needed a neck extension (see back of the neck at around the 14th fret, crudely crafted with added funky fretboard inlays and the highest few frets look pretty wonky, see pictures). A long neck tenon was also created. The body has the LPPP marking that a Les Paul Classic Premium Plus would usually have, but in '95 these didn't have the thin cutaway binding anymore and the previous owner said it was a Historic '59 body body, so it's either one or the other. Features Gibson '57 Classic pickups and high end hardware and electronics (CTS pots, aluminum tailpiece etc). The guitar plays fine and sounds excellent, however the work done is an amateur job and we priced it accordingly and are strictly selling as-is. Perfect if you want a 50s Gibson neck on a Les Paul without spending 10 times as much. Comes with a 1990s brown tolex Gibson hardshell case. Weighs 4.2kg.
