1962 Fender Stratocaster, olympic white. Made in USA, serial number 86089. This guitar features a few player friendly mods that make it somewhat 'affordable'. At first sight, the finish looks like an original no undercoat, no overcoat rushed olympic white finish. The nail holes are remarkably clean, as are all the cavities. Upon closer inspection however, you can see a thin coat of paint on the ground wire and on the tremolo claw and and tremolo claw screws. This is in line with the white overspray on the pickup covers and the knobs, someone didn't like the guitar yellowing and just made it look like it came out of the factory again. Someone also toyed around with the polepiece-height of the pickups. The windings look original, but the solder joints were redone. The guitar features a recent professional refret and plays beautifully. The bridge saddles and the volume pot are modern replacements. A few screws were replaced over the years and the tremolo springs are replacements as well. July '62 neck date, 18th week of '62 pot dates. Comes with a modern hardshell case. Weighs 3.35kg.
